Why WIB?
Women In Business, a not-for-profit organization has existed for almost 30 years! We are one of the only organizations in Winona that recognizes and supports women in a variety of professions. Every month, our organization gathers around tables to network with other businesswomen while enjoying a great lunch and listening to a speaker that promotes personal and professional business growth. In one short hour, women working in a variety of industries connect to build long lasting relationships that will grow home-based and corporate business, and benefit family life and ultimately, the Winona community.

Membership in Women in Business offers opportunity to
• Network with other women in the community
• Attend monthly luncheons and hear speakers talk about women related topics
• Talk about and advertise your business or place of employment
• Grow personally and professionally by serving on committees, speaking at luncheons, and volunteering for events

Who Can Join?
Anyone can join WIB. There is no annual membership fee, but active membership requires a minimum attendance of 3 luncheons per year. Luncheons cost $13 for members and $15 for non-members.

What’s Next?
After you submit your membership application, a member of the board will contact you to welcome you to WIB. Feel free to ask questions at that time!
You’ll receive a membership packet in the mail and a name tag if you ordered one.

What does membership cost?
There is no annual membership fee, but active membership requires a minimum attendance of 3 luncheons per year. Luncheons cost $13 for members and $15 for non-members.

When and where are the luncheons held?
The luncheons are held the 3rd Thursday of each month from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Nate and Ally's, 109 East 3rd St, Winona.  Occasionally, our location might change, but we’ll announce it ahead of time.

Do I have to own a business to join?
No, anyone can join. Business owners, employees, and volunteers all join together each month to connect and learn from each other!

Can I speak at one of the events?
If you’d like to be the speaker at one of our luncheons, contact a member of the board to submit your request.

Can I be on the board of directors?
Each year a nominating committee contacts potential board members and elects members for open positions. If you’d like to be on the board, contact a current board member to submit your name for consideration.

How can I be more involved in Women in Business?
There are plenty of opportunities to be more involved! We form several subcommittees throughout the year as needed for various reasons, i.e., membership recruiting, business solicitation for advertising and donations, the annual Cabin Fever Dash, and scholarship judging. If you’d like to get more involved, contact a board member!
