ONLINE HOLIDAY BASKET AUCTION

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Dear Women in Business Member and Supporter:
Due to the current COVID situation, our Board of Directors has decided not to hold our in-person Annual WIB Holiday Boutique this year. Instead, we have decided to host an Online Holiday Basket Auction. We are very excited about this new format of fundraiser and know we can count on our members to continue with the amazing support of this new venture!
We are looking for donations of baskets from you, our members, and supporters. Would you and/or your business be willing to donate a basket for our auction? We would request that the items in the basket be at least $25 retail value. We would encourage you to include your business card in the basket with the hopes of receiving future business due to your generous donation to our fundraiser. We will announce each basket on our Facebook page with a link to your website and/or Facebook page. Each item would have a picture on the Auction site, https://www.32auctions.com/WIBHolidayBasketAuction, with a description of the items included, provided by the donor of the basket.
Does this sound like something you would like to be part of this Holiday season? We would love to highlight you and/or your business in our first-ever Online Holiday Basket Auction. Please let us know if you are interested in participating by October 27th. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with what your basket will contain and when you would like to drop it off. get the Auction site set up for the November 14th start date. We will take pictures of the baskets for the website. We need to collect all of the baskets by November 7th in order to The auction will run through November 28th with a basket pick up being held on Thursday, December 2nd.

Join us on February 18, 2021, for our VIRTUAL luncheon with guest speaker Scott Sherman, Mayor of Winona. He will be discussing his 3 Legged Stool approach to attracting and retaining talent in the Winona area. This event is free, however, donations are welcomed and appreciated.
We are now accepting applications for the 2021 Women in Business Vicki Decker Scholarship. You can fill out the form below or download the PDF and email your application to email@example.com. Applications are due May 1, 2021.
Will Kitchen, with Winona State and Christine Beech, with St. Mary’s University, will be speaking about their work developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Winona and the need to engage and recruit women into the process. They will also discuss their programs through the universities and how they impact entrepreneurship within the schools and communities.
Luncheon Date October 15, 2020 – Meeting will be a Zoom Invite sent early the week of by email.
Vicki Decker, Founding Chair of Women in Business, is the Career Services Director Emerita of Winona State University. Vicki has always been passionate about nurturing and promoting women, encouraging them to achieve their full potential. She has sponsored scholarships for women in aviation and for students to study abroad so they can expand their horizons. She has been a part of the Winona community since coming here for college. She has held professional offices at the state and national level and has presented locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Vicki always says one of her most prized recognition’s was when she was honored by WIB with the scholarship and we are honored to have her at our June Zoom Luncheon to present our 2020 Scholarship Awards. Please join us to celebrate our recipients and network!
